The Cowichan Valley’s prolific agricultural region is home to 15 wineries, Canada’s first estate cidery and outstanding balsamic vinegar! The cool climate lends itself well to a number of varietals, including Pinot Gris, Ortega, Gewurztraminer, Müller-Thurgau, Pinot Blanc, Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Gamay and Marechal Foch.
Island Time Tours visits 3 wineries on their Cowichan Valley tour, with 4 to 7 tastes at each stop. Along the way you’ll enjoy mountain vistas, forests and panoramic ocean views. Included is a local artisanal charcuterie picnic, dietary needs can be accommodated with advance notice, and your knowledgeable guide will share the history on the region.
Tours are $139 per person and are approximately 6 hours. Tours run Wednesday through Sunday February through December.
